First Day of Swim Team Practice Tomorrow!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to our Brookside Swim Team 2020!  So glad to see that many of you are returning, and we have a bunch of new swimmers to meet.  For those of you who have been on the team or a team before, this will not be a typical season, due to the pandemic.  However, we have worked hard to create a swim season that will be fun, safe, and get everyone back to what they love.

A few reminders for tomorrow and the season:

Make sure you check your child's swim practice time.  Practice will start promptly, so make sure you are on time.  Swimmers should wear their suit to and from the pool, changing rooms will not be used this season.

Swim practice may be viewed from our pavillion only.  However, I strongly encourage those of you with older swimmers to drop your child off and pick up at the end of practice time.

At this time I have no information about meets.  We are working on setting up virutal meets, but more information will be shared in the next few weeks.

Please familiarize yourself and your child with the Brookside guidelines for summer swim safety this year.  We will be following the rules of the pool, along with what Coach Courtney sent out.  It may take a little longer at first, but please be patient.

If you wish to speak with the coaches regarding your child/children, you will need to email them.  We need to exit the pool in order for it to be cleaned, sanitized, and ready for the Brookside general membership.  Therefore, emailing them is the fastest way to get your question answered.  They will not be answering questions on deck.  You can find their email addresses on the swim team website.

Finally, if you or your child has been ill, or around someone who has been sick with the Coronavirus, you must let us know.  We are counting on everyone being upfront and considerate of others.  We are providing a summer season because of everyone's love of the sport, but we can only do that if everyone is willing to participate in the safety of our children.

I will be there as much as I can this week to answer any of your questions.  Feel free to email me as well.  Looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow!

Sincerely,

Amy Ryan
