Cranford meet Wednesday 6/30-job and arrival details
Good afternoon swim families,
Jobs are open for our next away meet. We have included a few extra timers and officials, just in case, as in the past they have been needed. Also, any official not working, please bring your white shirt just in case we need you. It has happened!
A few important reminders about working this season:
1. Please sign up for a job that you know how to do. If you are new, timing is the easiest to do, and requires no certification like the officials jobs. If you would like to shadow someone to learn a job, just email me and let me know. We would LOVE to have people learning new jobs to cover our meets. Try something new this season!
2. Volunteers are not allowed to use their cellphones. Please pocket the phone for a few hours and enjoy your swimmer/s in the moment!
3. If you are unsure of something at any meet this season, don't hesitate to ask or bring it to someone's attention. It does not hurt to check on something questionable.
Finally, Cranford has stated they would like one spectator/volunteer per family. This means one adult total. As of today they have not requested names and birthdates for attendees, but I will keep you posted.
Cranford uses their indoor pool, similar to Hillsborough, and it can become quite hot-those of you who know, you know! There also isn't a lot of room for spectators. They did say we could bring non swimming children, but I would honestly try to find someone to watch siblings, if possible, and especially if you are working.
Please arrive by 5:30pm, warm up at 5:45pm, start around 6:15pm. Swimmers should stay with the team at all times, including through the end of the meet. Support and cheer on your teammates, we are off to a great start!
Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks everyone, enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Amy and Coach Courtney
