I'm sending this out again, asking you all to read carefully.  Donations and volunteering are crucial to the success of this fundraiser, our only one of the season.  All families are expected to participate in some way, either through donating, volunteering, or both!  Please give what you can, as soon as possible, so that baskets can be made up and we will have a lot of offerings to bid on.  Sign up to help, either before or during the event.  See Amanda or Karen if you have any donations or further questions.

Hello Swim Team Families:

Normally, our Mini Minnow Invitational Swim Meet is our biggest fundraiser each summer at Brookside. The fundraiser benefits both the club and the Swim Team by keeping costs low, but it has been canceled for two years now and Brookside is in a tough financial situation. Working the Mini Minnow Meet has always been a requirement for the Swim Team Work Bond, but instead, this year, we are asking you to fulfill your work bond commitment in different (and easier) way !!!

Brookside will be hosting a Basket Raffle Fundraiser on July 17^th. We need the Swim Team Parent’s help to make this as financially successful as the Mini Minnow Meet. We have already secured a corporate Sponsor for the event, so we thank MLB Residential Lending LLC of Scotch Plains for their generous sponsorship.

• Traditionally, we ask for Scratch Off Lottery Tickets for the Mini Minnow Meet, so we will continue with that request for this event and Raffle off a HUGE Lottery Ticket Basket, sponsored by the Brookside SWIM TEAM. Our goal is over 100 Lottery tickets, they can be any $ amount. Please bring the Lottery tickets to swim practice.
• *We are also asking each family to donate a Gift card or bottle of wine/alcohol/beer. These are great prizes to win and we know you have some in your house that you haven’t used in years. This is the time to declutter ! If you don’t know what to get, we will also accept cash donations and we can do the shopping for you.
• *Volunteers - On the day of the event, July 17^th, we are asking for some volunteers to help sell tickets from 4-6:30 (you can still attend the event and win prizes) and we are also looking for older kid volunteers, 13 and over, to help distribute the baskets as winners are called from 6:30-9. For students needing community service, we can provide a form to validate hours.

Thank you to all of our swim parents for all your help over the years volunteering at Mini Minnow. This is a much easier and less time-consuming commitment, so we expect every family to participate in some way.
